I'm super late for work, but I just got out of the shower.. Why so late you ask? my gf is a fucking Idiot with winter related car duties. Instead of waking me up early for help clearing off her car and and the drive way, what does she do? just guns it and gets stuck at the bottom of the drive way where she got stuck last night! and then just like last night proceeded to spin the tires and proceeds to create a damned ice patch where she did last night! took me 3 hours to clear it last night and another two vs a few moments worth of shoveling! I laid soo much salt to make shoveling the 6 inches of fresh snow we got over night easier! BUT NOOOOO she just had to go fuck it all up again... *sigh* she's lucky I love her!
Have the vehical I'm starting to think she needs instead of her malibu for your time..

That is why I am happy my girl is a Jeep fan. I still wake up early if I am at her house and clear it off, she pays me back in " favors "

Exactly how this happened:
"I don't want to be a bother and wake him up early, I'll be fine!"
*wheelspin*
"Welllll shit."

Scientific fact: the sight of snow turns off brain cells.
Last night, one of our across-the-street neighbours pulled into a double-long parking spot, half-assedly at best, and just sat there waiting for her husband to come shovel the spot properly. He was kind enough to push the snow off the street onto the sidewalk in front of my house, then throw it onto my front garden.
When she was finally parked, after having made my wife wait to park with her brainless shenanigans, she backed up and almost blocked our car in to make sure that she had enough running space to drive out in the morning.
GO TO HELL, neighbour.

maybe you should have taken some initiative and woken up early and helped her instead of bitching about it here; food for thought, as they say. good on you for fixing up the ice patch after the fact, though.

there was no ice patch before she made one..... I fixed it yesterday. problem is we are about 2 hour separated on our morning routines due to time we work. I told her to wake me 30 min before she needed to go.. I tried man.

Take all that snow they kindly plopped into your garden and pack it around your neighbors tires.

I had to clear off both my Jeep and bf's daily driver because he had no gloves and no ice scraper in his car, but "favors" are kind of a daily thing in this household anyway ;)
...you meant favors like doing the dishes, right?

I cook, he does dishes. The equitable distribution of domestic labor really gets me going!

you lucky duck! Actually I really enjoy being the labor source. She cant cook many things, while I can. Dishes I just do while I cook, so not bad. We both work too hard to care much about who does what. Of course we arent co habitating yet either.
The equitable distribution of domestic labor really gets me going!
now that I find hilarious because I have never heard it said like that :)

Unfortunately I think most people are that way. They don't see the need for any forethought when it comes to snow and ice. I've got a 1.5 ton vehicle, it'll just move the snow out of the way. No, it won't.
Guy I knew in HS burned out the transmission in his Trans Am rocking it back and fourth versus shoveling out his parking spot. Idiot.

"my gf is a fucking Idiot with winter related car duties"
This is more than a bit redundant... Admittedly, mine has walked past a perfectly acceptable Subaru to get in her Civic when there is 6" of fresh snow with a 100% chance of snow in the forecast. Did I mention that we live in a very hilly neighborhood with a steep driveway?

Y0u have no idea... I've been tempted to show her how to put her snow chains on but that opens the Pandora's Box of improperly secured chains...
